How is everything getting along with you? It is almost one year since we graduated from university. I miss you very much. What have you been doing all these days?

I have been a middle school teacher in my hometown since graduation. Teaching always keeps me busy, but I like my students and I love teaching, you know. So everything is fine here. There will be a former classmates’ getting together during this May Day holiday at my school.

You are my best friend. I never forget those happy days we spent together. I hope you can come to my school when the time is due and you are free.

Bad Manners in Public

   Although we consider ourselves as highly advanced beings living in a civilized society, bad manners can still be found here and there. For example, some cyclists run the red traffic lights, many passengers litter waste papers and plastic bags in the public places, and some tourists scrabble in tourist attractions, let alone spit on the street. In the cinema, some audience talk loudly on cell phones in front of others.

   I’m strongly against talking loudly in the cinema, for this behavior shows no respect at all to others; what’s more, it upsets the audience who are in the mood of having fun.

水和生命

Water is indispensable to our life and the development of national economy. It is often described as the source of all living things and the lifeblood of agriculture and industry. Without it, nothing could grow and out world would become a terrible desert.

The world we live in is now faced with a severe shortage of fresh water. According to some official figures, more than 1,700 million people in the world don＇t have enough clear water to drink and over 25 thousand people die of water related diseases daily.

So, all of us should actively b save water. It＇s our obligation for the benefit of the future generations

我的爱好

I have many hobbies, such as reading, skating, and watching TV. But reading is my favorite hobby.      I like reading for three reasons. First of all, books introduce me to a new world, which is colourful and without time and space limit, Through reading, I can trace back. to ancient Egypt, the cradle of human civilization.   It can bring myself to the United states, a glamorous land I have been longing to visit. Secondly, reading can better myself by showing me a new horizon.   In the past years, most of my knowledge has been obtained from books. I have learned from many people by reading about their ideas on scithee, politics, life and society. Thirdly, reading bridge the gap between my dream and my goal. In ordcr to succeed in my career in the future, I must keep reading, thinking and practising.        Reading has become part of my life. Every day, I spend some time reading books, newspapcrs and magazines. At night, I can hardly go to steep without a novel in my hand.

My Plan for the National Day Holiday我的国庆计划

National Holiday is coming. There are altogether 7 days, so I need to plan it in advance. Firstly, I plan to have a good rest for the first 2 days when I can have a good sleep and don’t worry to get up late, and then do a good cleaning of the home. Secondly, I would go to Zhouzhuang, a traditional southern town with my wife for a 2 days’ trip. I hope I like it. Thirdly, I would to Chengdu by train to attend my classmate’s wedding. These above are my plans for the National Holiday.

How to Keep Healthy   如何保持健康

Nowadays more and more people are concerned about their health, but how to keep healthy?

First, it is necessary to take some exercise every day. Research shows that getting plenty of exercise makes the heart beat faster and the lungs work harder.

Second, eat more fruits, vegetables and less meat.

Third, getting rid of bad habits like smoking and drinking is also an important way to keep healthy. Smoking and alcohol drinking injure one's health a great deal, and therefore should be given up.
